Why I created Learn With Me
In 2020, I hired McKinsey to teach me about the global energy transition. I learned a lot, but it cost me more than $2M for one research project.
After that experience, I decided to build my own internal research team at Social Capital called Learn With Me.
Every week, we publish a new Deep Dive on an idea, industry, or technology I personally believe is worth understanding.
Each Deep Dive represents 300+ hours of first-principles research and truth-seeking analysis of what’s happening in the world today. Our mission is to:
Educate. Break down complex topics from first principles.
Contextualize. Show why it matters now, in a shifting world.
Analyze. Help you make informed decisions on your own.
93% of our readers say that it changed a decision or their thinking recently. Join our community, and come Learn With

Four themes
Over the last two years we've released 50+ Deep Dives across four primary themes I believe are essential to understanding the world today.
Popular Deep Dives
Each topic is one Chamath wanted to understand himself. The team researches it from first principles and publishes the result as a deck, not a newsletter.
